Bondi - Layout created with "Down Under" collection by Aida

Hi everyone, as you know we have just released 4 new collections, but we also have released one special limited collection especially dedicated for our friends who live in Australia and New Zealand,  and also for everybody who just love those two countries. I am definitely one of them :)  Down Under collection includes 12x12" papers, corresponding A6 paper set, 12x12" chipboard set and two stencils. Very soon a small corresponding mini watercolor palette is coming to our store, as a part of this collection. The colors you can already see on this layout :)  

I will be travelling Down Under again soon, so if you would like to meet me, join the classes and get a chance to work with my new products, there are still some spots left.

They say "All good things come to an End...." and sadly this will be my last post as an 13@rts Designer. I had the best time designing with AmAzing products!!!! Thank you for having my Aida and all the very best to the new Team members....

For this page I used two sheets from the Summer Rhapsody collection. One was used for the background and the other torn and used on the sides. I distressed all the edges and painted them with Black Rainbow Duo mixed with water. Also used Clear Gesso before all the paints. 

I mixed Yellow Amber Rainbow Duo with Modeling Paste and put it through the Vintage Wreath Stencil. 

For the background colour I sprayed the Yellow Amber and Pearl Black mists. I also used Amber Color Glow with water...It is the pinkish glow one can see in the photos!

The net Chipboard was painted with black Gesso.

I sprayed the chipbard with Pearl Black Mist and embossed it with Deep Sea, Rocky Road and Vintage Beeswax Embossing Powders. The title was sprayed with Yellow Amber Mist.

I added some flowers and Black Lux Crystals and used the Splash Brush to add splatters of the Silver Glitter.

Life is a Verb ~ Layout with Sandi Clarkson

Good morning, creative friends! 

Sandi here with you today sharing my most recent layout for the 13 Arts blog.

I had been feeling inspired to work with the "B" side of Paper Birds and flowers paper, In Bloom. 

That yellow damask-like paper is so gorgeous! I had planned to use that along with predominately teal. But as always with the creative process, I decided to add in some areas of purple along with the teal from the Watercolor set 16 pans - set of watercolors to pull out the purple in my granddaugher's shirt. 

I also fussy cut some of the peach flowers from the In bloom Elements A4 sheet. So with the yellow, teal, purple and peach, I had to be very careful not to get a pastel Spring-y effect. I tried to accomplish that by using some more intense shades of the watercolors by not adding as much water.  At that point it was lovely but I wanted "rust" to ground it. So, taking the easy way, I sprinkled some of my brown Rainbow Color Brown and then spritzed it with water. Some areas are still powdery but actually since I like texture, that is more than fine by me!

As usual, I first coated my papers with Clear Gesso, then added some Gesso white - acrylic primer 500 ml around my focal area. I did some random stamping with brown ink using the Avril stamp A7. Next I created some texture by pushing Modeling Paste through the Stencil masks HIS TIME. This is when I began doing my color work. What I really like about our modeling paste is that it stays a bright white unless you have already mixed it with color.

Then I began adding layers to my photo with the paper elements below. I am proudest of my fussy cut blooms because it's not my favorite thing to do when I'm in the midst of a project. That is what is nice about our ephemera packs! However, fussy cutting is fun when you are just relaxing and maybe watching TV, movie or a video.

I finished with a few embellishments, some 3D balls, Ecru Sisal, rhinestones from my stash and then some splattering with my paint colors and Gesso white.

Birthday card for Grandma by Monika

Witajcie! Ja również miałam przyjemność pociąć nowe i pachnące jeszcze drukarnią papiery. Na początek wybrałam bardzo romantyczną i kobiecą kolekcję Rosalie. Wykonałam kartkę i torebkę na drobny upominek dla Babci mojego męża z okazji Jubileuszu 80 urodzin. Chciałam zrobić dla niej coś wyjątkowego, mam nadzieję, że mi się udało.

Welcome! I also had the pleasure of cutting the new collections. For start I chose very romantic and feminine Rosalie collection. I made a card and a small gift bag for my husband's grandmother on the occasion of her 80th birthday. I wanted to do something special for her, I hope I succeeded.

Czy Wy również czekaliście na napisy do kartek w języku polskim? Już nie musicie dłużej czekać, ponieważ właśnie zapełniły sklepowe półki.

Have you also been waiting for the new words for cardmaking? You don't have to wait any longer because the shelves have just filled up with those.

Po raz pierwszy w sprzedaży dostępne są papiery w formacie A6 - pokochałam je od pierwszego wejrzenia! Są to bloczki składające się z 24 jednostronnych papierów, wewnątrz wzory różnią się zupełnie od tych, które znajdziecie na papierach 30 x 30 cm i 15 x 15 cm. Do ozdobienia torebki wykorzystałam właśnie motywy z bloczku A6.

For the first time, A6 format papers are available for sale - I loved them at first sight! These are blocks includes of 24 one-sided papers, inside the patterns are completely different from those found on 12x12 and 6x6 papers. I used the motifs from the A6 block to decorate the bag.

Mam nadzieję, że nieco Was zainspirowałam do sięgnięcia po tą wspaniałą kolekcję. Jeśli jeszcze nie zaglądaliście do sklepu to zróbcie to koniecznie, czekają na Was wspaniałe nowości!

It's Marta! Today I'd like to share with you my card made with a new collection- Victoriana. It's perfect for romantic cards or the ones which need a little vintage touch.
I love the vivid red and nice steampunk elements which Aida used on her papers. 

Poprosiłam ją także o dodanie do kolekcji słówek przydatnych w kartkach. Teraz możecie je dostać zarówno po angielsku jak i po polsku.
Do kolekcji jest także pasująca ephemera, przydatna w budowaniu warstw pracy. 

I asked her to make nice words which may be used on the cards. You can buy them in English or Polish which is great for cardmakers.
The collection includes also ephemera pack which is helpful in building layers.
