“Enjoy the Journey” by Moira Gilowey

I am so excited to share my second project as Guest Designer for 13 Arts. I created this single page layout using papers from Down Under and Victoriana collections. I loved the bright vibrant colour of the yellow paper from Down Under and it suited the muted tones from the Victoriana paper as well as my photograph. I included some of the cutouts from the Victoriana sheet on my layout as well.

Both sheets of paper were first covered with clear gesso. I prepared the background of the layout (yellow paper) by stenciling with modeling paste mixed with Andalusite Color Glow paint powder. I then tore the Victoriana paper, adhering it to the yellow sheet and then adding stenciling to it as well. Once the modeling paste was dry, I added diluted Andalusite and Amber (separately) onto the stenciling, spraying with water so that it moved on the page.

I stamped onto the papers with black Archival Ink and then did some additional stenciling down the sides of the layout with modeling paste. Once the stenciling was dry, I added black gesso with a spatula, dragging it down the sides of the layout as well as lightly brushing it onto the white stenciling. Once the gesso was dry, I added Amber Color Glow to modeling paste and stenciled on top of everything.

The chipboard pieces were painted with diluted Andalusite Color Glow. I love how this paint powder gives a silver shine when you look at it from an angle.

I hope that you enjoyed my project and look forward to sharing with you all again soon.

Until next time!

Our new Guest Designer - Maria Kravtsova

Czas przedstawić kolejną utalentowaną Gościnną Projektantkę. Maria Kravtsova przygotowała jako swoją pierwszą inspirację piękny layout.
It's time to announce our next talented Guest Designer. Maria Kravtsova created a beautiful layout as her first project.

Hello everyone!

My name is Maria and I live in the old city called Tver in Russia. I have been scrapbooking for just over nine years and, I like traditional (paper) scrapbooking and also mixmed media. I am so excited to be included as a Guest Designer for 13Arts and to work with gorgeous papers and products.

For my first project as Guest Designer for 13Arts, I created a layout using the splendid papers from the Victoriana collection. I love the dark tones of these papers with red roses and with steampunk elements. I selected a paper Baroque. I included elements from the Ephemera pack as well cut out floral elements and frames from a Paper pad A6.

Stenciling was added to the layout with Gel medium transparent.
Then I mixed some Rainbow Color Brown to Gel medium transparent and added some additional stenciling also colored this paste with a chipboard. The chipboard frame was painted with Patina Bronze Mist. I applied Glitter Old Gold on the wings of the chipboard.

I painted a white flower made of fabric with a COLOR GLOW Fire Opal. In different places tinted the page with Patina Bronze Mist and COLOR GLOW Fire Opal.

Once the layout was completed, I sprayed with white and black paint and added drops of Glitter Old Gold.

I hope that you enjoy my first project and look forward to sharing with you all again soon.

See you soon!
Maria

Vintage Canvas by Marta Dębicka

Witajcie!
Dziś mam dla Was mały blejtramik z dużym zdjęciem.
Jego bazą jest papier, który powarstwowałam. Między pięterka poupychałam elementy powycinane z przeznaczonych do tego arkuszy i ephemery. Całość dopełnia wielki mix wsypek :)

Hello!

Today I have a small canvas with a large picture for you.
Its base is paper that I layered. Between the "floors" I added the elements cut out from the papers and some ephemera. Fillers and glitter is a nice match here :)
