Sweet November

 

Dear All, 

In my opinion the month of  November is being a bit neglected. 

In September we are busy with the beginning of the new school year, in October there are many festivals and excitement as well. 

On the contrary to this, the 11th month of the year seems to be rather quiet. 

Although this month of Autumn is full of inspiring things. 

The nature looks wonderful at this time of year, the air is fresh and crisp - ideal for an Autumn hike. 

In an album like this we may gather many memories of these experiences - filled with colorful pictures.

Ramka z motylkiem / A frame with butterfly

jako, że ostatnio rzadko robię coś z przedmiotów dekoracyjnych to na dziś postanowiłem zrobić kompozycję w czerni zbudowaną na bazie drewnianej ramki. 

Hey,

as I rarely do something with decorative objects lately, for today I decided to make a composition in black based on a wooden frame.

Zacząłem od pokrycia całej ramki czarnym gessem. Następnie dodałem na niej wzór z maski używając pasty stworzonej z czarnego gesso i magic powder. Na to przykleiłem płytę CD, którą również pomalowałem na czarno.

I started by covering the whole frame with a black gesso. Then I added a stencil pattern on it using a paste made of black gesso and magic powder. For this I glued a CD, which I also painted black.

Kolejnym krokiem było stworzenie kompozycji na płycie CD. Po doklejeniu każdego elementu malowałem go czarnym gesso. Pozwoliło to uniknąć ominięcia podczas malowania ciężko dostępnych miejsc. 

Po zrobieniu głównej kompozycji dodałem kilka piórek, tak by przypominało to nieco łapacz snów.

The next step was to create a composition on a CD. After gluing each element, I painted it with black gesso. This avoided bypassing hard-to-reach places when painting. 

After making the main composition, I added a few feathers to make them look like a dream catcher.

Całość wykończyłem pokrywająć projekt kolorowymi woskami, które zrobiłem mieszając bezbarwny wosk z kolorowymi shiny powders.

I finished the whole project with colorful waxes, which I made by mixing colorless wax with colorful shiny powders.

I hope you have all been well. I am back on the blog today sharing this layout I created using products from our latest release.

I started by adding more texture on the background using a combination of gel medium, Black lustre Shiny Powder and Bronze Shiny Powder through a stencil.

Next I added layers of burlap, lace and Ecru roots to create an area to place my photo.

I coloured Dusty Attic Chipboard pieces  using a range of 13@rts Vintage paints, Bronze Metallic paint and Black Lustre Shiny Powder.

I affixed chipboard pieces to the back of my photos to make stronger before affixing them in place.

To embellish I added emphemra pieces from the Grungy Walls Butterflies Collection and a couple of sand coloured flowers from 49 And Market.

Last but not least, I finished it off using my favorite 13@rts stickers, 3D Powertex Balls and a couple more of strings of lace.

Witajcie! Tu Monika :) Na dzisiejszą inspirację przygotowałam layout, którego zrobienie stanowiło dla mnie spore wyzwanie. Pierwszy raz robiłam LO ze zdjęciem dziecka - mojego synka Feliksa, więc trema była tym większa. Chciałam aby był chłopięcy okazało się, że można zrobić dziecięcą i jednocześnie delikatną, mediową pracę. Kto ma "ciężką" rękę do mediów tak jak ja, ten wie o co chodzi :-)

Hello! Monika here :) For today's inspiration I prepared a layout, which made was quite a challenge for me. For the first time I did LO with a photo of a child - my son Felix. I wanted to create boyish and at the same time delicate, mixed media work. Who has a "heavy" hand to the media like me, he knows what I mean :-)

Do zrobienia kolorowej pasty strukturalnej wykorzystałam Shiny Powders i Color Glow, mieszając je razem do uzyskania pożądanego odcienia. Jest to mój ulubiony sposób ostatnio, możliwości są nieograniczone, ponieważ kolory pięknie się ze sobą mieszają i możemy uzyskać dokładnie taki odcień, jaki jest nam aktualnie potrzebny.

To make a colored structural paste, I used Shiny Powders and Color Glow, mixing them together to get the desired shade. This is my favorite way, the possibilities are endless, because the colors blend beautifully together and we can get exactly the shade we currently need.

Vintage box with tag book

Hello dear friends, today I want to show you my vintage box with a small tag book. I have actually used scraps of papers of 13 arts vintage collections and some acetate to make it, so it was very easy to make it. I have added some texture with stencils and microbeads, but actually it's more paper than mixed media this time;) Hope you like it.

Witajcie kochani, dziś chciałabym Wam pokazać moje pudełko w stylu vintage wraz z małą książeczką tagową, mogącą służyć za mini album. Użyłam głównie ścinków papierów z rożnych kolekcji 13 arts oraz kawałków folii. Aby dodać nieco tekstury, wykorzystałam maski i mikrokulki, ale wyjątkowo jest tu mniej mediów, a więcej papieru. Ostatnio lubię pracę z papierem. Mam nadzieję, że i Wam podoba się moja praca;)

Zapewne widzieliście już fantastyczne nowości od 13arts, ja miałam już okazję troszkę z nimi popracować. Na początek sięgnęłam po kolekcję "Aqua Flora", która jest piękna i niezwykle romantyczna. Mam już również swoich faworytów wśród szablonów. W tym projekcie wykorzystałam dwa z nich "Round with butterfly" i "Rose Field Text". Przez szablon nałożyłam pastę strukturalną zabarwioną Shiny Powder w kolorze Green Blue, jest to mój ulubiony i szybki sposób na kolorową pastę.

You probably have seen fantastic new products from 13arts, I already had the opportunity to work with them a bit. For a start, I played with the "Aqua Flora" collection, which is beautiful and extremely romantic. I already have my favorites among the stencils too. In this project, I used two of them "Round with butterfly" and "Rose Field Text". Through the stencil I applied a structural paste dyed with Shiny Powder in Green Blue color, it is my favorite and quick way to color the paste.

Kiedy pasta wyschła, spryskałam tło mgiełkami, ale ostrożnie, tak by nie zabarwić na nowo pasty. Dzięki temu moje strukturalne tło jest wielokolorowe. Ten efekt tak bardzo mnie zachwycił, że postanowiłam nie dodawać zbyt wiele dodatków. W centrum umieściłam motyl wyciętego z transparentnej folii, dzięki temu, tło pozostało niezakryte. Kwiaty wycięte z arkusza z kolekcji "Aqua Flora" nakleiłam na kosteczkach dysansowych.

When the paste dried, I sprayed the background with mists, but carefully, so as not to color the paste again. Thanks to this, my structural background is multicolored. This effect delighted me so much that I decided not to add too much embellishments. In the center I placed a butterfly cut out of transparent foil, thanks to this the background remained uncovered. The flowers cut from the sheet from the "Aqua Flora" collection I applied on the 3D foams.

Altered Art Sen Motyla / Atlered Art Butterfly Dream by Monika

Mój projekt na dziś to pudełko altered art z wykorzystaniem moich ulubionych, transparentnych naklejek. Ponieważ są nadrukowane na przezroczystej folii idealnie wtapiają się w tło.

My project for today is a altered art box with using my favorite, transparent stickers. Because they are printed on a transparent foil, they blend perfectly into the background.

Do wykonania tła wykorzystałam mgiełki i Shiny Powders. Nałożyłam również czarne gesso przez maskę. Na koniec dodałam kilka chlapnięć przy użyciu czarnego SPLASH!

I used mists and Shiny Powders to make the background. I also put a black gesso through the mask. At the end I added a few splashes using black SPLASH!

Motyle wycięte z folii zamocowałam za pomocą ćwieków, dzięki temu mam pewność, że nie odpadną.

Butterflies cut from the foil are attached with brads, thanks to which I can be sure that they will not fall off.
