~~~ Embrace ~~~
January 2020 Page by Patricia Basson
 Hello 13@rt friends....
Today I am sharing a Layout page with quite an amount of different 13@rt products...
To start I used papers from the In Bloom collection. Magnolia for my background and a piece of Rose Wallpaper on a piece of chipboard as my photo mat.
I primed the paper with Clear Gesso. Next I added white crackle paste with a palette knife. I did some stamping with the Star Alience stamp and brown Ink. Using Magic Powder and Modeling Paste I made a thick paste, colored it with the Black and Brown Rainbow Colour and then put it trough the Wonderful Nature stencil. Adding the Magic Powder resulted in the paste making some cracks when dry. I also used the paste on the edges of my paper. I colored the two corners  of my page using Brown Sugar Vintage paint and Rust powder activated with the  Rust Reagent.
All the chipboard pieces were painted with the Matt and Vivid Green paints together with Brown Sugar Vivid Vintage Paint. Also 'aged' them by using the rust powder on them. The piece of cheesecloth was colored with Black Rainbow Color. I made floral arrangements with the chipboards, dried roots and several flowers. For a little feminine touch I added some of the Purple Mica flakes as well.
I enjoyed creating this page using the following products available in the 13@rts online store....
Thank you for looking at my work. Wishing all a creative week...
~~~ Happiness Cards By Patricia Basson ~~~

Hi 13Arts Friends....

For this month I made two cards using the "In Bloom" 6x6" Paper Pads. These pads make it easy to use smaller pieces of the gorgeous designs, getting all the detail without having to cut one of your larger paper sheets. Ideal for cards and Tags!

For this card I used the Greener toned paper. I layered two designs with Black paper from my stash onto a Cream Cardstock. I used the Rhapsody Stamp with Black ink to add some stamped detail. I love, love the design I get from using Black Splash! ink with a paintbrush to create the lines and splatters! Also used Silver Glitter Paint to splatter and on the die-cut leaves. The very delicate natural Exotic Flower was carefully inked with water-mist and Dark Brown Chalk mist. The title for this card is from the "Rose Field" sticker sheet. A Gray Pearl Twig and some black Tulle finishes the card.

 This is a more feminine looking Card. I used Orange and Yellow paper. I die-cut some Doily Shapes and added one to the background. Stamped in black with the Sky Flower stamp. I mixed some Modeling Paste with Magic Powder and colored it with the Amber and Ruby Color Glow. It now has a lovely velvety look. I used it through the "Night Flowers" stencil. Also layered the papers with Black paper onto a Cream Card-stock. On this Card I left the Exotic Flower in the natural color. Added a piece of Coral Twig and also Black Tulle and black Splash! splatters. This cards title is from the "Vintage Summer" sticker sheet.

All the products used are available in the 13Arts On-line Shop...

I hope you enjoyed the visit to the Blog...Happy crafting till next time!

Everlasting Friends - Art journal Page
By Patricia Basson

Hello Dear Arty friends...

Today I am sharing a Journal Spread with you. Most of the times I don't really know what I want to create, I just start to play with papers and mediums and usually inspiration and ideas follow.  Here I started with the Paper from Aria Story, Street Rhythm...I loved the Yellow distressed look of it. I used the Mechanical Stencil and black ink pad to add interest to the edges of the paper. Then I used the Vintage Words stencil with Modeling paste. I thickened the  modeling paste with Magic Powder and colored it with Color Glow Citrine and Emerald.

I used Rusty Bronze Rust Effect powder with the new Reagent to color the Gauze. I created a layered look with several paper strips and some string. Also used Old Gold paint and Americano Vivid Vintage paint for highlights and splatters.

The title was embossed with black embossing powder. Also added some black netting that I distress with my heat tool and a few rusted elements. In the end this page is a dedication to all our pets that we love and cherish....

Thank you for visiting my page...You are welcome to visit the 13arts store where you will find all the products I used and many more....

Memories ~ Nostalgic Layout with Sandi Clarkson

Hello, 13 Arts fans!

Sandi here with you today sharing a layout I created focused around an old photo of my uncle and I at my grandparents farm. I was a city girl (still am) and had great respect for all their animals.  Respect and fear, LOL. I still remember being afraid this old Bossy cow was going to trample all over me. But it made for a great photo opportunity for my mother!

Anyway, my intention was to stick with some green to represent the fields where we stood along with some blue for the sky and then lots of browns, amber and so forth to represent the cow. However, as I played around with my paints, I decided to throw in some pink to represent myself.

Here is a little collage of photos showing you the layout before I added my embellishments and photo. I firstly primed my Paper Blue Nights ~ Blue Magnolia with Clear Gesso and then covered 3/4 of the paper with a mix of White Gesso and MAGIC Powder to achieve a bit of crackle. I allowed that too dry overnight before proceeding. I did some random stamping with the Numbers Stamp  and then some stenciling with the script portion of the Dandelions Stencil and some Modeling Paste.

All my paint colors are all listed below in products used but are comprised of mostly some Rainbow powders, Ayeeda Water Ink and some Splash products.

While my paints were drying, I altered the large clock chipboard from Chipboard HIS HERS Remastered with Rainbow Color Brown and the leaves from the Chipboard Set Vintage Summer A4 with the Olive Green Ayeeda Ink. The title piece was left bare and is included in the Rose Fields Chipboard Set 12x12.

I layered my photo on torn and distressed pieces of the Paper Postcards ~ Blue Magnolia and matted my photo with BLUE MAGNOLIA A4 Butterfly collage. The little colorful scrap under the clock was my original test scrap of paper and I decided to include it for interest.

Before adhering the focal area, I added some Sisal ecru for texture and a few fussy cut florals from BLUE MAGNOLIA A4 Butterfly collage as well as some three dimensional flowers. I tucked in a paper doily and scrap of leaves from my stash. Since this was an outdoor scene, I included the bees from Metal Insects and a fussy cut butterfly also from BLUE MAGNOLIA A4 Butterfly collage.

I finished off with some paint splattering, dabs of watered down white gesso and some of the SPLASH Old Gold Glitter Ink and 13 Arts SPLASH White Ayeeda Ink.

Here you can see a little of the crackle I was trying to achieve.
This project got a little more colorful than I intended but my husband says he likes it and I hope that you will as well.

Happy Time

Hello dear 13arts friends

It's Anguree with you on the blog today and I'm super excited to be sharing my first post as a design team member of this amazing group of designers. It surely has been a dream come true and I hope that you will enjoy your visit with us today.

Have you seen our new Glow Colours?  If you have not, you are in for a treat.They are so shiny and vibrant and you can use them in so many different ways. Just to show you, I will show you two different ways of how I used them to create this layout.

I started off by mixing black gesso with Magic Powder and stenciled it to my background. I dried it with my heat-tool and brushed over some Color Glow Amber with a dry paintbrush. I then sprayed the powder with water and allowed it to run among st the creases and lines from the stenciling.

I coated my embellishments with clear gesso and dried it with a heat-tool.Once it was dry I painted it with a mixture of glow powder and water.

For a little extra bling, I added splashes of Old Silver Splash Ink Glitter on both my flowers and background. I'm sure you would agree, that glitter just makes everything a little prettier. Yes I never been a bling-bling sort of girl, but I fell in love with this bottles of magic when I discovered it late last year, so chances are you would too. ;)

Autumn and leaves ny Agnieszka Bellaidea

Witam serdecznie!
Mam dzis do pokazania nowy project. Tym razem pracowalam nad zalterowaniem kwadratowej drewnianej deseczki.

Hi! Nice to see you. Today I would like to show you my altered square wood.

Zaczelam od pomalowania deseczki gesso.
Nastepnie uzywajac pasty modelujacej i meski z piorkami wykreowalam tlo .

I started from painting my wood with gesso.
Next I created my background using modeling paste and  mask with feathers.

Nastepny krok to przyklejenie przygotowanych wczesniej "odciskow" z masy.
Medium gel sprawdza sie fantastycznie w roli kleju.

Next step - adding propered before shapes from forms, medium gel works great with it.

Rainbow colors w kilku odcieniach i moj projekt nabiera rumiencow :)

Rainbow color in several shades and my project looks more colorful now :)

Koncowy etap to dodanie kwaitkow, metalowych dodatkow i sizalu.

Last stage it's adding some flowers, sizal and meatl elements.

Mam nadzieje ze spodobaly sie Wam rozne produkty 13arts, ciekawa jestem ktore z nich sa Waszymi ulubionymi?
