Welcome everyone in 2020!

 I hope this year will be a great one for all of us, peaceful, healthy, full of happiness and love. For me personally it will be again a busy year with travels (including very long discance travels), designing new products, classes, but even though sometimes it is really hard work, I love what I do :) All the information about 13 arts events and classes around the world you can find here.

Today I have an altered wooden house to show you, spring colors make me me forget about grey and dark days outside.

Witacie kochani w 2020 roku. 

Mam nadzieję, że dla nas wszystkich będzie to wspaniały rok, przede wszystkim spokojny, pełen szczęścia, zdrowia i miłości. For the background I used transfer technique with 13 arts Gel medium, some stencils, stickers and tissue paper. All the coloring is made with 13 arts watercolors.

Hello all 13@rts' fans.

Today I have for you a nice and quick technique with transferring images into your works. I have learned this technique long time ago from my friend Agnieszka Anna, and now I'm getting back to this ;)

You can do this with Gesso or Gel medium depens what effect you want to achive in your works.

Mam dziś dla was filmik o transferach ( polska wersja na samym dole posta ). Tą technikę dawno temu pokazała mi Agnieszka Anna i obecnie przeżywa ona renesans w moich pracach ;)

Dzięki transferom możecie przenieść tusz z wydruku na papierze na swoją prace. Do wykonania transferu możecie użyć gesso albo gel medium w zależności jaki efekt chcecie uzyskać.

With gesso you will get transfer with a white background. With gel medium you will get only ink on clear surface - nice thing to use with layering your transfers in art journal or album pages. Whenever you will need some images and you don't want to just glue them on your page use this technique.

Za pomocą Gesso uzyskacie transfer z białym tłem, a jeśli użyjecie gel medium transparenty nadruk na waszej powierzchni. Można to fajnie wykorzystać warstwując transfery jeden na drugim. Jeśli kiedykolwiek będziecie potrzebować w waszej pracy obrazek czy nadruk a nie chcecie go po prostu naklejać na papier wypróbujcie sobie ta technikę .

I used transfer on my workshop piece which I would like to share with you. I was on Ayeda's 13@rts workshop where we created nice mixed media projects, including those cute wooden hearts. For me it was a second time ever participating in workshops as a student and I really enjoyed my time and learned some totally new stuff.

Użyłam techniki transferowania, żeby wykończyć moją pracę z warsztatów. Miałam przyjemność drugi raz w mojej scrapowej karierze uczestniczyć na żywo w warsztatach i muszę przyznać ze świetnie się bawiłam. Przygotowałyśmy kilka prac m.in. serduszka, a co najważniejsze nauczyłam się kilku nowych rzeczy i nie moge się doczeka żeby wypróbować moje nowe umiejętności.

I'm sure all of you have heard about image transfer and most of you have tried this great technique. 

However for some of you who have never tried it I really recommend 13arts mediums for this kind of projects.

You can make image transfer using gel medium, white gesso and more. I even tried to use black gesso!

Let me show you a few easy steps. 

You will find a lot of different techniques for image transfer but this one works well for me and my mixed media projects.

1. Apply the medium to a background

2. Stick a piece of paper with the image (which you want to transfer - remember that you will get mirror image) to the background. If you want to have a nice image transfer make sure that you haven't got air bubbles between paper and transferred image. Let the medium dry.

3. Wet glued paper using damp cloth or sponge.

4. Gently rub the paper off the background.
