Final Project by Shilpa Nagaonkar

Grudzień to ostatni miesiąc z naszymi Gościnnymi Projektantkami. Oto co Shilpa przygotowała na swój finałowy projekt:

December is the last month with our Guest Designers. Here's what Shilpa made as her final projects:

To create texture on this card I've used Modeling paste, stencil, Grit powder, clear gesso. I brought color to the surface using Lilac, Rainbow color duo. As a focal point of this card, I have used green Dried canelia and few paper flowers. splashes of white ink gave beauriful final touch.

For these Atcs I created texture layers with design papers, clear gesso, grained grit powder. For colors I used chalk mists, shiny color and splash inks.

Art Journal Pages by Shilpa

Amazing designs from Art Journey paper are inspiration for this journal page. I cut out hearts, circles, border designs and glue them on page

For the background I used clear gesso and chalk ink mists. On that I stenciled with black gesso. I have also done some doodling for more interest

Second meeting with Shilpa!

Hello Everyone, I am back with another mixed media project with 13Arts.

I've created Art Journal spread using Fiona's Strength in numbers and Aida's Art Journey collection

I have created different layers of texture on these pages.

Beautiful words from Art Journey collection stickers inspired me with this art journal spread.

I glued man's face and paintbrush sticker on opposite sides of pages. To create texture, I used 13Arts Modelling paste through Crackle stencil twice, using 2 designs from stencil, as I wanted both designs to match with pictures.

Further, Applied Clear gesso to whole surface and when it dried , started to build colors.

I spritzed Yellow and brown chalk inks. Dried the surface with heat tool. I stamped texture and text with black archival ink. I used Blue Green shiny powder mixed with clear gesso for my next layer.

Lastly I glued silver microsphere randomly on the design with gel medium.

I loved to play with 13Arts' Artistically designed papers and stickers... and their Chalk Inks,Shiny color, microsphere gave beautiful effect to the page.

Shilpa Nagaonkar - our new Guest Designer

New Guest Designer is here. This time we would like to introduce you to talented Shilpa Nagaonkar from India. Look at this beautiful canvas made as the first GD project!

Hi, I am Shilpa Nagaonkar, Mixed Media Artist, from India. I am painting since ever I remember. Colours brings pleasure to me, from bright to light! I love making stuff with papers, paints and inks, more importantly, share this all with others. I especially like to make Art journals, Canvas and Altered Art. I really like to experiment with texture, colors and techniques.I am inspired by life and nature. With my art I try to bring more love into the world. I truly believe, Art heals.. Apart from this, I am voracious reader, culinarian and movie buff! I am thrilled to join as Guest Designer at 13Arts

When I opened the DT package sent by 13Arts, I knew this Art Journey series - Freedom and Dream papers will be used in my canvas... and they are inspiration for my today's Mixed media project.

For the background texture I have used Technical Stencil and Modelling paste. To bring the color on the surface I have used awesome 13Arts Watercolor Powder - Lilac and Turquoise mist.

The center part of the canvas is created with various elements from design papers Dream and Freedom. I had cut out flowers, tags, butterflies etc from Freedom paper I have also used Feather chipboard design.
