The second one is made with Under the stars collection. Love to lay with that collection so versatile. This time a put an old touch with rusty powder. I also use some die cuts from the collection which are so easy and fn to use....

And the last one is made with Summer Rhapsody collection. I don't use enough punk on my work, so here I play with some tones of that color...love the quiet and romantic touch...

"The sky is the limit" by Christine

Hi everyone!

Today I'm with you to show you my creation for the month of January.
I decided to put yellow to put a little sun in this winter day,
here in Quebec it is cold and there is a lot of snow.

So here is my canvas

I explain a little how I did it. I started by putting a layer of clear gesso on the canvas and the wooden tag. Then I put white crackle paste in a thick layer here and there on the canvas, I let it air dry. I made a pattern on the tag with a stencil and modeling paste.
Then I had fun with the colors, I used acrylic paints, Yellow Amber and Mermaid Teal, Metallic! paint Blue as well and Rainbow color Yellow Amber and Yellow Lemon.

I stamped here and there on the canvas with the Star aliance stamp and permanent black ink. I made lots of drops with a brush and an embossing liquid, then I powdered the gold embossing powder which I melted with the heat gun.

Last step of the composition, I used several elements from the superb collection Under the stars, a chipboard, stars from the ephemera pack, I cut with a die of leaves in a 6x6 paper from the collection, I also cut flowers in the A4 element sheet and 12 x12 paper Constellation. I added 2 beautiful white roses and gold metal wire and I glued everything.

I hope you enjoyed it!

"My Star" by Kareen

Hello everyone!!
Are you excited by what it's coming with the new release?
You should, because it's going to be totally awesome!

So, in the waiting of the new release, I created a layout with the
beautiful "Summer Rhapsody" collection. Those papers are
so soft and beautiful. Love them.

I used the "Serenade" and "Memories" papers and I fussycut a lot
of roses from the paper "Rose Rhapsody".

Some close-ups :
I do not use a lot of inks on this layout, but I used the watercolor set,
because they are my favorite and are so easy to use.

I made some drops with the Splash Inks. I used the White (my favorite)
and the Black Glitter. I also took chipboards from the Under the Stars collection and
I mixed coral and white matte paint to have this beautiful light pink.

And the lovely butterflies are from the Die-cuts Grungy Walls Collection.

Material used :
- Matte Paint White

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!!!
I hope you find inspiration and be creative!

Be Free

Be Free

My husband, like every other dad with large family, thinks always about numbers, and works everyday for us to have everything.
I will always be greatful to him for ensuring us the security!
By creating this site is to express this . It would be so great to stop the time. To drive a nail before the clock hand and run out to the nature, to the silence, what he loves so much.
The dichotomy is also there as he loves the things made of metal as much as the vision of a mossy bark.
I have been highlighting the fight of the nature and the civilization through this whole work.

"Memories" layout with Sandi Clarkson

Welcome to the 13 Arts blog!

I hope that 2020 will be a very creative year for all of us!
Our design team does their very best to provide you with lots of inspiration!

For today's project, I have created a layout featuring a photo from Stella de Libero of one of her lovely designs. I love the juxtaposition of the fabulous gown against the wood slats of the Washed Wood paper, Grungy Walls. I've paired a sheet from Rose Fields, Evening Story  which was torn and layered in the upper center of the page.

After coating my papers with Clear Gesso, I did some stencil work with the Wonderful Nature Stencil and some Modeling Paste. When that was dry, I did some random stamping using the Rose For You A6 Stamp and permanent black ink.

Additional photo layers were created from the Evening Story as well as a white die cut I had on my desk. I've also used one of the wreaths from the In Bloom Ephemera Pack.

For color I've used both Ayeeda Paint - Matte Raspberry as well as Chalk Burnt Sienna mist, often mixing the two. As well as painting with one of my brushes and moving with water, I also did some paint splattering. My white splatters were from the Watercolor set 16 pans - set of watercolors.

For texture, I've used Ecru Sisal3D balls mediumGold Microspheres XS and of course, some 49 and Market florals from my stash along with a few flat-backed pearls.

My chipboard title and flourish piece are both from the Chipboard set Summer Rhapsody A4 and were left natural.

I love adding color around my focal area to make it really pop!

I've used a few pieces of corrugated cardboard to elevate my photo for further dimension.

And here I'm sharing a close-up of the wreath from the ephemera pack.

That's all for today.
We thank you so much for coming by and for supporting us here at 13 Arts.
I'll see you next time!

Sandi
