Be Free

Be Free

My husband, like every other dad with large family, thinks always about numbers, and works everyday for us to have everything.
I will always be greatful to him for ensuring us the security!
By creating this site is to express this . It would be so great to stop the time. To drive a nail before the clock hand and run out to the nature, to the silence, what he loves so much.
The dichotomy is also there as he loves the things made of metal as much as the vision of a mossy bark.
I have been highlighting the fight of the nature and the civilization through this whole work.

~~~ Embrace ~~~
January 2020 Page by Patricia Basson
 Hello 13@rt friends....
Today I am sharing a Layout page with quite an amount of different 13@rt products...
To start I used papers from the In Bloom collection. Magnolia for my background and a piece of Rose Wallpaper on a piece of chipboard as my photo mat.
I primed the paper with Clear Gesso. Next I added white crackle paste with a palette knife. I did some stamping with the Star Alience stamp and brown Ink. Using Magic Powder and Modeling Paste I made a thick paste, colored it with the Black and Brown Rainbow Colour and then put it trough the Wonderful Nature stencil. Adding the Magic Powder resulted in the paste making some cracks when dry. I also used the paste on the edges of my paper. I colored the two corners  of my page using Brown Sugar Vintage paint and Rust powder activated with the  Rust Reagent.
All the chipboard pieces were painted with the Matt and Vivid Green paints together with Brown Sugar Vivid Vintage Paint. Also 'aged' them by using the rust powder on them. The piece of cheesecloth was colored with Black Rainbow Color. I made floral arrangements with the chipboards, dried roots and several flowers. For a little feminine touch I added some of the Purple Mica flakes as well.
I enjoyed creating this page using the following products available in the 13@rts online store....
Thank you for looking at my work. Wishing all a creative week...
Memories ~ Nostalgic Layout with Sandi Clarkson
Hello, 13 Arts fans!
Sandi here with you today sharing a layout I created focused around an old photo of my uncle and I at my grandparents farm. I was a city girl (still am) and had great respect for all their animals.  Respect and fear, LOL. I still remember being afraid this old Bossy cow was going to trample all over me. But it made for a great photo opportunity for my mother!
Anyway, my intention was to stick with some green to represent the fields where we stood along with some blue for the sky and then lots of browns, amber and so forth to represent the cow. However, as I played around with my paints, I decided to throw in some pink to represent myself.
Here is a little collage of photos showing you the layout before I added my embellishments and photo. I firstly primed my Paper Blue Nights ~ Blue Magnolia with Clear Gesso and then covered 3/4 of the paper with a mix of White Gesso and MAGIC Powder to achieve a bit of crackle. I allowed that too dry overnight before proceeding. I did some random stamping with the Numbers Stamp  and then some stenciling with the script portion of the Dandelions Stencil and some Modeling Paste.
All my paint colors are all listed below in products used but are comprised of mostly some Rainbow powders, Ayeeda Water Ink and some Splash products.
While my paints were drying, I altered the large clock chipboard from Chipboard HIS HERS Remastered with Rainbow Color Brown and the leaves from the Chipboard Set Vintage Summer A4 with the Olive Green Ayeeda Ink. The title piece was left bare and is included in the Rose Fields Chipboard Set 12x12.
I layered my photo on torn and distressed pieces of the Paper Postcards ~ Blue Magnolia and matted my photo with BLUE MAGNOLIA A4 Butterfly collage. The little colorful scrap under the clock was my original test scrap of paper and I decided to include it for interest.
Before adhering the focal area, I added some Sisal ecru for texture and a few fussy cut florals from BLUE MAGNOLIA A4 Butterfly collage as well as some three dimensional flowers. I tucked in a paper doily and scrap of leaves from my stash. Since this was an outdoor scene, I included the bees from Metal Insects and a fussy cut butterfly also from BLUE MAGNOLIA A4 Butterfly collage.
I finished off with some paint splattering, dabs of watered down white gesso and some of the SPLASH Old Gold Glitter Ink and 13 Arts SPLASH White Ayeeda Ink.
Here you can see a little of the crackle I was trying to achieve.
This project got a little more colorful than I intended but my husband says he likes it and I hope that you will as well.
"Creative Mind" A Little Embroidery Hoop By Fiona
Hello my beautiful 13 Arts friends. Today I am here sharing with you a little embroidery hoop I have decorated using some of 13 Arts gorgeous new products.
For all the years I have been scrapbooking you know I have NEVER embellished an embroidery hoop. I know! I have seen so many gorgeous ones online and always thought I'd love to give it a go and so now ... here it is. I think I'm addicted!
I used some patterned paper to cover the base of the hoop and then layered some gauze over the top to give it a shabby look. I also gave the gauze a bit of a tear and grunged it up and then layered some gesso over it to create a shabby chic look.
Layers and layers of fussy cut flowers and feathers made up the main area of the hoops focus point along with a wing that I molded from air dry clay.
I added a wire border and on the bottom layer you may be able to see a little chipboard wreath that I covered with gesso and added some watercolor too.
I love this little treasure. I definitely think I will be making more of these hoops!
