Altered item from Christina

Hello 13Arts fans!!! It's Christina here today and I have an altered project that I have made with black gesso, and metallic paints to show you.
I used a wooden packing of christmas decorative items and I wanted to alter it so that was the time.

First of all , I covered all the surface with black gesso . I was sure to have every centimetre of the item covered and when the gesso dried I used my metallic paints in several colours to make some splashes on the black backround. I like to give some interest on my projects , so I used some 3D balls on my backround and some white sisal.

I thought it would be better to have a "Spring " theme , so I cut some butterflies from "His and Hers" collection and painted them with metallic paints. I have also painted my chipboard pieces with them. At the end I used some extra texture products such as microspheres and glitter stripes to give some extra effect on my altered item.

Even though it's a dark piece , I like that the colours can pop up and it is bright !

"Timeless" Layout | Fiona Paltridge

Hello! Fiona here today, sharing with you a layout I have created using the stunning "His and Hers" collection designed by the very talented Olga Heldwein.

This design follows one of the trails of the butterflies on this beautiful paper. I painted them with a watered down Matte Pink Ayeeda Paint and then dressed each one up with some Ayeeda Paint in the VIVID Magenta. I either painted it through a stencil or I painted it directly onto some little butterflies I cut out of the "United Forever" paper.

I also added some of the brass clocks from the clock set and the Timeless title from the 12x12 chipboard collection.

I used one of the crocheted doily's I have collected during my thrift store shopping. I just love shopping through old stores and collecting ephemera.

Smile layout

na dziś przygotowałem layout na bazie papieru z kolekcji "His and Hers". Papier jest dość ciemny, więc tym razem do pokolorowania tła postanowiłem użyć farbek z serii Vivid Vintage.

I prepared for today a page on paper from "His and Her" collection. The paper is a little bit dark and I decided to painted backround with Vivid Vintage paints.

Do stworzenia tła użyłem maski "Falling dots 2" i białego gessa. Dodałem kilka kresek zrobionych za pomocą żółtego Splasha oraz kolejne kreski z różnych kolorów farb z serii Vivid Vintage. Tym razem postawiłem na nanoszenie farb pędzelkiem.

To make a backround I used "Falling dots 2" stencil and white gesso. I added few lines from yellow Splash and another lines from different colors paints Vivid Vintage. To make this lines I used a brush.

Główną kompozycję stworzyłem na bazie ramki tekturowej z napisem SMILE, który podkleiłem papierem z kolekcji "Aria Story". Dodałem kilka kawałków papieru i tagi.

The main composition I've made with chipboard frame with SMILE word, which I taped on paper from "Aria Story" collection. I added few pieces papers and tags.

'Black Swan' by Lisa Griffith

Hello 13 arts friends, so glad you stopped by :)

I have a layout to share with you today created with lots of 13 arts mediums.

'Black Swan'

I used a paper called 'Blue Light' from the 'Color Basic' collection designed by Olga.

It made for the perfect subtle backdrop for my photo. I created my background using

some of the amazing Rainbow Color Duo in 'Navy Blue', and some Ayeeda Mists

in 'Pastel Cobalt' and 'Pastel Black'.

Challenge #53 - Freedom

Witajcie Drodzy Fani 13arts! Tu Christina z nowym wyzwaniem! Bardzo lubię przelewać emocje na mój projekt więc dzisiaj wybrałam "Wolność" jako temat nowego wyzwania!

Hello 13Arts fans! It's Christina here and today it's the time for a brand new challenge! I really like to express my thoughts on my projects so today I chose to have "Freedom" as the theme of the new challenge! Here is the moodboard that you can be inspired of!

You can create anything you want, get inspired from the theme , use "Freedom" as a title on your project or on journaling, you can be inspired from the colours or the photos!

Rules of the challenge # 53:

1. Create a mixed media project based on theme of the challenge

2. Publish your project on your blog and add link directly to the post using Inlinkz tool at the right side bar.

3. Please add a link and info about our challenge, where your work is published.

4. You may submit as many entries as you like.

5. You can enter your project with a maximum of 2 other challenges and your work must be new, not published before our challenge has started.

6. The challenge ends on the 23rd of April. Winners will be announced on the 27th of April.

7. You don't have to use 13@rts products in your project.

When the challenge ends, our Design Team will vote and pick the best project. It will be Awarded with shopping voucher for 13 arts store worth - 60 PLN with free international shipping. The winner will be invited to join us in one of our challenges as Guest Designers. Additionally we will feature a few works with biggest number of points.

Tusze Wodne / Water inks

Witajcie!

Czy wiecie, że media 13 arts są już rynku ponad 4 lata? A wiecie jaki był jeden z pierwszych produktów 13arts? Był nim tusz wodny. Teraz w naszej ofercie jest mnóstwo mixed mediowych produktów, ale nasi Projektanci wciąż chętnie wracają właśnie do tego pierwszego. Dzisiaj pokażą Wam co z jego pomocą przygotowali:

Did you know that 13 arts mediums have been on the market for over 4 years? And did you know what was one of the first 13arts' product? It was water ink! We have so many new mixed media goodies in 13arts now but our Designers still like using the very first one. Here's what they made with it:

Aida wykonała tuszowany blejtramik z tekturkami i elementami z masy. By uzyskać podobny efekt użyjcie crackle glaze, skroplcie dowolną mieszanką kolorów tuszy wodnych i pozwólcie im wyschnąć. Możecie powtórzyć cały ten proces.

Aida has made an inky canvas with some chipboards and clay elements. To achieve the similar effect use any type of crackle glaze and pour and mix few colors of Ayeeda water inks and let it dry. You can repeat the process.
