Hi gang!!

long time no see!! So sorry I let you down for a couple of months...COVID gives me hard times... Hope all will be better in 2021...

I wanted to close this year with something... I couldn't make a video but I have two layouts for you...

The first one, it's just one about Christmas time...

And the second is about a friend of me who had 2 beautiful dogs... her dogs was old and sicks and she didn't want to let them go without having a beautiful pictures shoothng (with photographer Maryline Rivard). She made amazing pictures... One of her dog past away a few weeks after, the second ne, is still alive but getting very old...

so, stop talking and just see ..

have a wonderful time...

Winter canvas by Monika Januszewska-Rosik

Witajcie! Czy Wasze pracownie również skrzą się od brokatu? Jeśli tak, to znaczy, że świąteczne przygotowania są w toku, a do Świąt zostało naprawdę niewiele czasu. W mojej pracowni powstała zimowa inspiracja na okrągłym podobraziu z wykorzystaniem papierów, które do świątecznych nie należą. Połączyłam w sumie papiery z trzech kolekcji.

Hello! Are your craftrooms also sparkling with glitter? If so, it means that Christmas preparations are underway and there is really little time left until Christmas. In my studio, winter inspiration was created on a circular canvas with the use of papers that do not belong to Christmas collections. I combined a total of papers from three collections.

Drzwi, które są centralnym punktem mojej pracy wycięłam z kolekcji Bella i podkleiłam na tekturze. Czyż nie są niesamowite? Na drzwiach umieściłam mini wianek i kokardę z zestawu Dreamland Ephemera.

The door, which is the focal point of my work, was cut out of the Bell collection and glued onto the cardboard. Aren't they amazing? On the door I put a mini wreath and a bow from the Dreamland Ephemera set.

Ten projekt jest bardzo prosty w wykonaniu i mam nadzieję, że zainspiruje Was do stworzenia własnych zimowych dekoracji.

This design is very simple to make and I hope it will inspire you to create your own winter decorations.

Summertime layout by Moira Gilowey

Hello creative friends.

I am sharing a layout with you today using some of the “Under the Stars” papers

together with “End of Summer” cutouts and chipboards.

I love this photograph of my sister-in-law and her mother sitting

on the edge of the lake in Switzerland, enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful view.

I decided to use the blues of the water and the pop of the orange umbrella

as my colour scheme, together with gold … because who doesn’t love a bit of gold!

I prepared the background of this layout by first covering it in a layer of clear gesso.

I then tore some of the paper before stamping around the edges.

Stenciling was added onto the layout with modeling paste and then,

once the modeling paste was dry, I diluted the Color Glows separately and applied these

with a paintbrush to my page, making sure to dry between each color application.

Once the colors were dry, I applied a tacky glue onto the page in places

and left it to dry a bit and get sticky. I then added gold foil to the sticky glue,

rubbing off the excess with a hard brush.

I painted some of the chipboard stars in orange and added gold foil to the rest.

I also heat embossed the chipboard title and leaves with gold embossing powder.

I hope that this has inspired you to create your own project with the

amazing 13arts papers and products.

Big tag with seahorse

Cześć,

dziś przygotowałem dla Was wyjątkowo duży tag. Postanowiłem wykorzystać odlew konika morskiego i nieco kół zębatych.

Hi,

today I've prepared an exceptionally large tag for you. I decided to use a resin seahorse and some gears.

Zacząłem od zrobienia tła używając zębatek i rur z MDF-u, które nakleiłem na tag za pomocą multipurpose medium. Potem pokryłem całość dwoma warstwami białego gesso. Dodałem też nieco faktury używając maski i pasty modelującej.

I started by making the background using MDF gears and tubing which I glued onto the tag with multipurpose medium. Then I covered it with two layers of white gesso. I also added some texture using the stencil and modeling paste.

Następnym krokiem było doklejenie konika morskiego z żywicy, którego też pomalowałem białym gesso.

The next step was gluing a resin seahorse, which I also painted with a white gesso.

Do pokolorowania pracy użyłem metalicznych farb akwarelowych w proszku Color Glow.

Zacząłem od samego konika. Do pomalowania go użyłem różnych odcieni niebieskiego. Color Glow wymieszałem z płynnym medium akrylowym co pozwoliło uzyskać pięknie błyszczącą farbę akrylową. Na spód dałem ciemny niebieski, a gdy tylko farba wyschła to nałożyłem jasny kolor ścierając go po chwili za pomocą wilgotnej chusteczki. Pozwoliło to na uzyskanie ciekawych przetarć.

I used powdered metallic watercolor paints Color Glow to color the work. I started with the horse itself. I used different shades of blue to paint it. Color Glow was mixed with a liquid acrylic medium, which allowed to obtain a beautifully shiny acrylic paint. I put a dark blue on the bottom, and as soon as the paint was dry, I applied a light color, wiping it off after a while with a damp tissue. This allowed for interesting abrasions.

Kolejnym krokiem było pokolorowanie tła. W tym celu użyłem Color Glow wymieszanego z wodą i odrobiną ciekłego medium akrylowego. Dodanie wody stworzyło nieco rzadszą farbkę, która pozwoła na rozprowadzenie jej za pomocą wody. Gdy tylko farba tła wyschła dodałem kilka odbitek ze stempla.

The next step was to color the background. For this, I used Color Glow mixed with water and a little liquid acrylic medium. The addition of water created a slightly thinner paint that allows it to be spread with water. As soon as the background paint was dry, I added a few prints from the stamp.

Do wykończenia pracy użyłem wosku w kolorze miedzianym. Zrobiłem go mieszając bezbarwny wosk z farbką Color Glow. Nałożyłem go palcem co pozwoliło na uwydatnienie wszystkich detali mojego projektu. Na koniec dodałem tekturki z napisami.

I used a copper-colored wax to finish the project. I made it by mixing clear wax with Color Glow paint. I put it on with my finger which allowed to emphasize all the details of my project. Finally, I added cardboard with inscriptions.

Christmas layout by Agnieszka Mirkowska

Hello everyone!
Christmas is coming. Still, we have sometime left to prepare handmade presents for our relatives. I made a layout on a wreath-like mdf base for my friend - Patrycja. I think, that layout is a great idea to catch happy moments in our lives and share our feelings. I fit the colors of a project to the warm coloros which appear on the photo: red, green and brown. I also added a lot of white to imitate the snow.

Idą Święta! Na szczęście zostało jeszcze trochę czasu na to, aby przygotować prezenty dla naszych najbliższych. Jako inspirację grudniową przygotowałam prezent dla mojej koleżanki - Patrycji. Jest to layout na bazie mdf w kształcie wianka. Myślę, że layout jest ciekawą i świetną formą, aby złapać najszczęśliwsze momenty w naszym życiu i podzielić się swoimi uczuciami z innymi. Kolory projektu dopasowałam do zdjęcia. Wybrałam zatem czerwień, zielony i ciepły brąz. Dodatkowo dodałam dużo bieli - imitację śniegu.

Grudniowe / Challenge #97

Zasady wyzwania:

1. Stwórz pracę zgodną z tematem wyzwania, w tym miesiącu jest to 'mood board', a szczegóły są określone powyżej.

When the challenge ends, our Design Team will vote and pick the best project. It will be Awarded with a giftbag full of 13arts' products (worth about 60 PLN) with free international shipping. The winner will be invited to join us in one of our challenges as Guest Designers. Additionally we will feature a few works with biggest number of points.
