Hi,
I'm happy to be back among you to present my latest project as Guest Designer ! I want to thank Ayeeda for her great confidence for my projects, for all her kindness, I would also add that I loved my 3 projects for 13 arts, and I also deliver you on a little secret: in all honesty, these projects are part of all my best scrap projects!

For some time now, I wanted to make, frames mixed-media for my house. I recently build a new interior home, I have new walls, all white with gray doors, it's very trendy, the gray as color at home, here in France! So I think I had to cut out almost all the papers of the two collections "All is love" and "Faces of spring", all papers in the green / blue color ! My paper cuts are small, but I found great to get all these different shades of colors. I am happy because this set of papers is quite to my interior design!

To start my layout, I selected thin strips of paper in the colors blue / green paper , I've stuck on each other and then I've applied a thin layer of white gesso, this has result of linking all the papers, we see less the edges  of paper, and it also clears all the frame. I've used some paper with green / olive color ("Strongs feeling" Faces of Spring), just a little, not much, to add a third color in small touches.

When I 'scrapbook' I use a lot of stamps and masking tapes, I love, then again, here we find a lot of textures made by stamps and masking tapes. I also used ink mist Chalk Turquoise to create a few drops here and there on my background. I dissolved them with some water sprays. This has the effect of making the blue color so sweet. And to finish my background , I like to use now the modeling paste with a stencil. I really like the result !

I hope you enjoy like me, this new project.

I'm almost a little sad to leave you now so I liked coming here to present my projects, I really loved it, and I will continue to come here to visit all new projects. Thank you very much Ayeeda and thank you to all 13 arts fans for taking the time to look at my projects !

Remember... - Layout from Ciri

Witajcie,
dzisiaj chciałam Wam pokazać pracę na białym kartonie, aby zainspirować Was do własnoręcznego przygotowania tła. Nie jest to nic trudnego - wystarczy pasta modelująca, kilka farbek lub mgiełek i odrobina wody. A efekt jest taki:

Hello,
today I show you my project on a white carton. I wanted to inspire you to do the background yourself. It's easy - you need only modeling paste, a few paints or mists and a bit of water. And this is the result:

Layout in grey and tutorial by Dorota Dołęga

Hello 13arts fans, today I'd like to show you my new layout and a step-by-step tutorial for simple background, made with modelling paste and black gesso.

First, I apply modelling paste - a thick layer on areas around my photo and delicate accents on the rest of the page. If you don't have a silicone brush, you can use an old plastic card. Then I wait until it dries - you can speed the process up with a heat gun, but be careful, it's easy to overheat it!

Now it's time for colour :) I've used black gesso, but you can use one of the wide range of Ayeeda paints. I took some gesso - a very small amount! - and remove the excess. The brush should be almost dry.

I put the mask in the same position as it was before and apply gesso/paint to make a very delicate smears:

And that's how it looks in the end:

I've created this background for a layout based on a paper from Timeless collection and some recycled stuff:

Thanks for visiting 13arts blog :)
All the best,
Dorotka

You're the best - by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

What can I say?
I finally got into the taste and started making snowy LO with pleasure!

In this LO I had to use a little unusual for me the materials and methods. Here are, for example, lids from metal cans - they were given to me the mother of this boy on skis)))
They are perfectly suited to the color palette of this LO:

Here there is a crumpled paper tape - I always try to place it straight and without folds, but this winter it would get boring:

I had to "stretch" a little in length this blue flower - otherwise he refused to peek out from above and below the photo))) :

In the lower left corner I tried to add silver paint on silver microspheres - hmm ... it was fun:

And these icicles are made of glue - I had to do it! - I just did not have icicles in reserve)))

In my city there is snow.
For three days!

And what weather do you have?
