Today it's time to present you our next fabulous Guest Designer Ana Paula Leal from Brasil. She is amazingly talented designer and she is joining us for 3 months to inspire us with her work.  Today she shows us amazingly beautiful, unique and colorful layout.

Let's meet Ana Paula closer:

My name is Ana Paula Leal and I was born in 1970 and grew up in Santa Catarina, a state in South of Brazil. I’m an architect, but recently I decided to dedicate my time to scrapbooking, teaching and giving workshops all over Brazil, I write for magazines, take part in forums and Design Teams and I also help developing materials for this area. It means that nowadays my profession, Architecture, is in second place.

I’m married and live in Itajai, the city I was born in, with my husband, Adriano, our children Gabriel, 17 years old and Luiza, 14 years old, two poodles and two cats we recently adopted.

My family, our trips, our everyday life, our pets, our victories and happiness are always my source of inspiration and I register everything in my works.

I’m a very eclectic person that is I like to mixture different styles, improvise and put several types of expressions in my projects. I like better romantic works with Vintage touch, but I don’t like to label myself only in a way, I always prefer to try new things.

As I love to use inks in different ways, there is always an artistic touch in my projects, you’ll also find a stroke with a brush or mists in any detail. It’s impossible to work without becoming dirty or destroy my fresh manicured nails. LOL.

Well, thank you very much for such a great opportunity.

It’s good to know that in this globalized work we can communicate through a universal language: Art.

Hi,everybody!

I am Ana Paula from Brazil and this is my first project as GD 13@rts. 

I am very happy to show a little bit of what I do for you all and work with the amazing products from 13@rts. This layout was made to highlight the large picture that I printed an a transparency film 

and affixed in the paper " Hair in the wind" by 13@rts

More layers were made using the papers:

"Big love" and " Only for girls" on the right side of the layout. 

WOMAN

 Over the papers I created a  textured work using :

AYEEDA MEDIUM-ACRYLIC MODELING PASTE from  13@RTS applying it with a mask and using spatula. I let it dry well creating a beautiful bouquet with the lovely  Paper flowers by 13@arts.

I adhered Glass microbeads next to the flowers and the effect is amazing!

To finish I applied some colors of  Ayeeda mists: pearl pink, pearl turquoise light and chalk yellow amber 

 creating a colorful and fun effect!

Hope you like it as much as I liked to create this project!

November Guest Designer - Maja Stokk Lindahl - Sweden

Today we have another great Guest  Designer - Maja Stokk Lindahl from Sweden. Maja has created two absolutely stunning layouts, just look at them!

Let's meet Maja:

Hi! My name is Maja Stokk Lindahl and I'm from the north of Sweden. I'm married and I have 5 children, three boys and two girls. I'm a full-time working teacher with a passion for mathematics. 

When I'm not at work, I love to cook, be with my family and work in my garden. When I need some "me time" and time to relax from my sometimes stressful life - I scrapbook!

I have been into scrapbooking since 2008. I have always loved taking photos and now I can do something special with all my photos.

I have no particular style (I think);  it varies depending on what kind of photos I'm working with and what mood I'm in. What I certainly can say about my style is that I love flowers. 

My style is mostly romantic with a touch of shabby or a little grunge. Lately I've also been hooked on Mixed Media and use heaps of it on my layouts.

Today it's time to present you our Guest Designer Stephanie Papin from France. She is joining us for 3 months and for today she prepared amazingly beautiful and soft layout and gives us few tips how to achieve such a great effect.

Let's meet Stephanie:

My name is Stéphanie PAPIN, and I come from France. I live in an area of the West, in a very quiet corner, and in a country where the scrap is very popular and covered by very large amount of designers. I am 38 years old and I am also a mum of two beautiful daughters aged 6 and 9 years old. Crafting has always been my passion. I discovered scrapbooking several years ago, and I became completely addicted to this hobby.

Lena and Nickie are my main source of inspiration in all my work. I also love taking beautiful pictures, and I' m looking for capture beautiful portraits of my children, I love finding the fleeting impressions of the portraits, this is what give me more emotions, and with the scrap it somehow gives the guaranty to keep those memories for a long time.

My style ? I love above all the sweetness, all that is refined and sumptuous !

Technical side: I work mainly with flowers, stencils, inks, and my dies from my big shot.

I am very  thrilled to have been chosen as guest designer, also delighted to be working with 13 arts products , I hope to provide you another source of inspiration, and I warmly thank Ayeeda for her kindness!

The layout of my page is very simple: just a few layers of paper!

To create this page, I am based on the dominant colors of the photo. I saw

that the water green and pink-peach were the dominant colors, so I chose to

find these two colors on my page background. I used the Ayeeda paint

« Matte green », mixed with a little bit of modeling paste to get a result of a

color with some texture .

I have then applied this mixture to my page using a stencil.

The pink-peach color on my picture is very light and soft ; to reproduce the

same tone, I mixed a little Ayeeda paint « Matte Raspberry » with a little

« Matte Lemon », and the whole was diluted with a little water, it gives a very

clear and light painting. I applied with the fingers this new color on the right

side of my page, and the result looks a bit like the transparency of watercolor

painting.

 To enrich my page background, I paste here and there a few pieces of

masking tape, and on this occasion, I did not hesitate to stick a few pieces of

Ayeeda stickers , those are perfect to be "torn" as masking tape. The

stickers are coordinated to the collections of papers, so they are ideal to use

as we want on our pages!

For the rest of my page, I applied some stamps, some impressions of soft

colors with different stencils, and I threw a few drops of ink, Ayeeda Mist,

"chalk turquoise", and China ink.

I finally finished my page by applying modeling paste on different parts of my

page using a stencil. The modeling paste gives a little texture to the page and

also cleared all my page.

Some additional embellishments, and my page is finished !

Wyzwanie #12 - Challenge #12 "Shoes and Colors"

Dzisiaj mamy dla Was nowe, kolorowe wyzwanie "Shoes & Colors". 

Today we've got new, colorful challenge for you "Shoes & Colors"

Szczegółowe zasady Wyzwania #12:

1) Przygotuj dowolną pracę inspirowaną powyższym zdjęciem - preferujemy prace dotyczące Waszych ulubionych butów (np. LO zdjęciem butów), ale nie jest to obowiązkowe, może to być inspiracja kolorami butów czy ich fakturą prezentowaną na powyższym zdjęciu itp.

2) Użyj w swojej pracy co najmniej 2 mediów ( gesso, tusz, mgiełki, farbki itp)

3) Opublikuj pracę na swoim blogu i zgłoś ją poprzez narzędzie Inlinkz na końcu posta (link bezpośredni do zgłoszonej pracy, nie do całego bloga). 

4) W poście, w którym opublikowana jest praca prosimy o podanie linka i informacji o naszym wyzwaniu.

5) Można zgłaszać dowolną ilość prac. 

6) Praca może być zgłoszona maksymalnie na 2 inne wyzwania i musi być nowa, niepublikowana przed ogłoszeniem naszego wyzwania. 

8) Wyzwanie trwa od dziś do 24.11.2013 do godz. 23.59. Wyniki zostaną ogłoszone 28.11.2013. 

Po zakończeniu wyzwania nasz zespół wybierze jedną najlepszą pracę z Polski i jedną najlepszą pracę z zagranicy, które zostaną nagrodzone zestawami produktów 13 arts: papiery, dodatki i media - wszystko z naszego sklepu. Poza tym, zwycięzcy zostaną zaproszeni do gościnnego projektowania w jednym z następnych wyzwań. Dodatkowo wyróżnimy prace, które zdobyły największą ilość punktów w głosowaniu. 

Rules of challenge #12:

1. Please create a  project inspired by above mood board, preferably a project about your favorite pair of shoes, but you can also be inspired by the colors of shoes, textures etc.

2. Please use in your project minimum 2 mediums (like gesso, paint, ink, gel medium, mist etc)

3. Publish your project on your blog and add link directly to the post using Inlinkz tool at the end of this post.

4. Please add link and info about our challenge, where your work is published.

5.You may submit as many entries as you like.

7. You can enter with your project to maximum 2 other challenges and your work must be new, not published before our challenge has started.

8. The challenge ends November the 24th at 23:59. Winners will be announced November the 28th, 2013. 

When the challenge ends, our Design Team will vote and pick one best work from Poland and one best foreign work. Both will be awarded with sets of 13 arts papers and media from our shop. The winners will be invited to join us in one of our challenges as Guest Designers. Additionally we will feature few works with biggest number of points.
