Dream - with our GD Amy Lassiter

Today we're going to show you a beautiful layout which was made by our talented Guest Designer - Amy Lassiter. Here's what Amy told us about her project:

Hello all, it's Amy here this beautiful September day, to share another layout I have created as a guest designer.

I really enjoyed something new, by using the dark paper for this project. It added a lot of contrast to everything, and made the mediums pop off of the page with color and texture.

I did a bit of stamping before using the clock chipboard as an embellishment. I stamped using the Ayeeda Paint in white, just smoothed on the back with my fingers. I liked how it ghosted the image on the dark background.

The splashes of paint and ink really draw the eye with their sheen and shimmer. Adding movement with the clocks, twine and embellishments made this a project I really had a fun time creating.

I hope you liked my project today, and that you were inspired to create!

Our New GD Amy Lassiter and her amazing layout

Czas by poznać naszą czwartą Gościnną Projektantkę - Amy Lassiter. Amy będzie nam towarzyszyć przez kolejne 3 miesiące. Dziś przygotowała dla nas piękny layout, ale najpierw zobaczmy co opowiedziała nam o sobie :)
It's time to meet our 4th Guest Designer- Amy Lassiter. Amy will be with us for next 3 months. Today she has a beautiful layout for us but first let's see what she told us about herself :)

I am a wife to my best friend from college, and the mother to three daughters. I recently relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, USA, after living in Kansas for 38 years. I currently work as a mixed media artist and designer, creating with layers and an eclectic, free, and soulful vibe.

Hello creatives! I am very excited to share my first project 
as a guest designer for 13 Arts! Today I am sharing a layout I created 
using a photo of me when I had a bad day. My bad days have gone since 
making a life change, and now I am happy to share a "down time" that was
 good to look at in retrospect. :)


For this layout, I began by cutting out a square in the middle of 
the Today, tomorrow, always paper, and flipping the square over to show 
the pattern on the opposite side. Since I turned the paper at an angle, I
 filled the open areas with bits from a vintage book page.

I created a background using many different 13 Arts mediums, a brayer, palette knife, stenciling, and stamping. Layering chipboard wrapped with copper wire,and metal bits and bobs around the photo was a good way to draw the eye to the strange black and white image. :) I added a few 13 Arts stickers, to create my title, as well as the wings to add a bit of softness.

I really like this layout, and how unique and different it is...it was a joy to create with such wonderful products. Thank you Aida for the opportunity, and I can't wait to share another creation next month!

Wyzwanie #21 - Challenge #21 by Agnieszka Bellaidea
1 Mood Board, 4 color combos

Hi!

It's Bellaidea today with a new 13 arts challenge.

I wanted to give you lots of freedom and inspire / challenge you at the same time so the idea is to create a project in the style from any of 4 photos and with a color combo you like the most below.

I also would like you to use mists.

Dzisiaj Agnieszka zaprasza na kolejne wyzwanie. Tym razem macie ogromną swobodę tworzenia, zainspirujcie się poniższymi zdjęciami i użyjcie mgiełek - zapraszamy:)

Wytyczne wyzwania #21
1. Stwórz dowolną pracę inspirowaną jednym ze zdjęć (stylem, kolorystyką). Użyj w swojej pracy mgiełek.
2. Opublikuj pracę na swoim blogu i dodaj bezpośredni link do niej przy pomocy narzędzia Inklinkz, które znajdziesz na końcu tego posta.
3. Oprócz swojej pracy w poście na swoim blogu podaj link do wyzwania i informację, że bierzesz w nim udział.
4. Możesz zgłosić tyle prac ile masz ochotę.
5. Twoja praca musi być nowa, niepublikowana przed rozpoczęciem naszego wyzwania, możesz ją zgłosić na nie więcej niż dwa inne wyzwania.
6. Wyzwanie kończy się 24 sierpnia o 23:55, zwycięzcy zostaną ogłoszeni 28 sierpnia.

Po zakończeniu wyzwania nasz zespół w drodze głosowania wybierze najlepszy projekt. Zwycięzca zostanie nagrodzony bonem zakupowym o wartości 60zł z darmową przesyłką (również zagraniczną). Zwycięzca zostanie zaproszony do wzięcia udziału w kolejnym wyzwaniu jako Gościnny Projektant. Wyróżnimy również prace, które zebrały najwięcej głosów.

Rules of the challenge # 21:
1. Choose one of four pictures as your inspiration (style and color combo) and use mists in your project.
2. Publish your project on your blog and add link directly to the post using Inlinkz tool at the end of this post.
3. Please add link and info about our challenge, where your work is published.
4. You may submit as many entries as you like.
5.You can enter with your project to maximum 2 other challenges and your work must be new, not published before our challenge has started.
7. The challenge ends on August the 24th at 23:55. Winners will be announced on August the 28th, 2014.

When the challenge ends, our Design Team will vote and pick the best project. It will be awarded with shopping voucher for 13 arts store worth - 60 PLN with free international shipping. The winner will be invited to join us in one of our challenges as Guest Designers. Additionally we will feature few works with biggest number of points.

Hello, I'm Tiphanie I'm 29 years old. My favourite passion in scrapbooking : textured background. I like playing with ink and sharing my passion with scrapbook girls.

First project: I was inspired by the picture with a pink sofa for my page.

I used:

I picked up the brightest color combo, loving turquoise/blue had a hard time to choose between 3 photos. Since I liked them all and I like to go "wild" every now and again with colors and I love mists so I picked up the 4rd , the brightest color combo.
