Finishing the Year with Jelissa

Hello 13@rts friends!

Today is the second last day of 2015, how fast time has flown! For me especially, it is a big year because our little girl has arrived. There are so many changes in the family, in my life and as I look back, there were just as many blessings that we have experienced. So for my last post for this year, I want to take time to say "thank you" and be grateful for all that has happened, good or bad.

This is a card I made for a close family friend whose birthday is also just around the corner. He has walked through difficult times with my husband and me, and loves my children as his own. Because this is for a guy, I have done away with flowers and made it very simple with strong clean lines.

I used Olga's Winter Tales for this card simply because the papers are so beautiful! I particularly love the deep reds and rich greens, and I couldn't make enough projects from this collection. For this post, I thought I really want to feature more of the papers and despite it being a Christmas theme collection, you can use it for just about anything.

Some details of the background. For this card, I used only two paints - White Glitter paint and Green Glitter Splash ink. To get that lovely mint green, I mixed White Glitter paint with Magic Powder, followed by a drop of Green Glitter and spread it over the holly stencil from the same collection. When it dries, you can see a lovely shimmer with both silver and gold flakes. I also topped it up with some splatters of Green glitter straight from the bottle.

For this chipboard, I used the remainder of my mint green paste and spread it over. Then I gradually mix in Green glitter paint to the remaining paste to use as a thick paint, one drop at a time to get many different shades of the green as layers of paint. Until the last layer was painting directly from the bottle.

I love the fussy cut holly from the Christmas tag paper and layered them on top. Then I brushed a thin layer of White glitter paint over to make the whole card look consistent with the use of glitter.

Leila Cassimira

I'm addicted to scrap. I'm 39, married and have two beautiful children who are my greatest source of inspiration, I'm grateful for my family. We love being in touch with nature and we also are passionate about pets: dogs, cats, turtles and many others. I live in Arararuma, a beautiful region in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, where we have beautiful beaches and lagoons to enjoy and relax. I'm scrapper since 2010 and it's a therapy for me, I just need make something with papers and scissors. Love it.

I have another passion besides scrapbooking, which is reading! I just love this literary universe and in my house you find books everywhere. This year I read over 100 books and picked my favorite to make a layout.

I loved working with the materials of 13Arts, are beautiful and very easy to use, just release the creativity and out coloring everything.

My name is Tanita, I'm 20 years old girl (yes, I still believe that I'm a child) from Russia. I fell in love with scrapbooking when I was 15, so I try to express myself, to grow up and to try new techniques for 5 years already.

Sure, as all girls at this blog, I can't imagine my projects without sprays, paints, glitter and other awesome products :)

I can't say, that I got my own unforgettable style now, but all my projects are full of feelings and emotions. I never create something senseless, it's boring :)

For a long time I wanted to create a special project, full of feelings, emotions and mystery atmosphere... And when I watched a film "Endless sunshine of the spotless mind" I understood that was what I needed for my inspiration.

I decided to create a mini-album with shots and my favourite quotes from this movie.

I tryed to make it intimate, full of my thoughts and maybe even dreams, I wanted to see as a result a very light and tender project.

Dzisiaj chciałabym Wam pokazać świąteczną bombkę, którą ostatnio zrobiłam. Moją inspiracją były piękne >>>butelki i szkatułki<<< autorstwa naszej utalentowanej Edukatorki - Olgi Heldwein. Jestem szczęśliwą posiadaczką kilku z jej niesamowitych prac, a dodatkowo Olga była tak miła, że zdradziła mi kilka swoich technik. Jedną z nich zdecydowałam się przetestować na mojej bombce.

Today I'd like to show you a Christmas tree ornament which I made recently. My inspiration was amazing >>>bottles and chests<<< made by our wonderful and talented Educator- Olga Heldwein. I'm lucky to have some of her beautiful projects at home, and she also was so nice to show me some tricks how did she make them. I decided to try one of this technique and create my bauble.
