Birthday / Urodziny

Witajcie,

Hello,

I'm inspired by the cards and I find pleasure in creating them again. It's even more pleasant that I grabbed a set of papers and paper ephemeras in the "Rosalie" collection and the card practically did itself.

Samą bazę ozdobiłem dwoma wzorami papierów tworząc dwie warstwy. Dopiero na nich zacząłem tworzyć kompozycję.

I decorated the base itself with two paper patterns, creating two layers. It was only on them that I started to create a composition.

Kompozycję ułożyłem zarówno z elementów wyciętych z dużego arkusza papieru jak i z papierowych dodatków dopasowanych do kolekcji. Wybrałem ramki, klatki, róże i motyle.

I arranged the composition both from elements cut from a large sheet of paper and from paper ephemeras matched to the collection. I chose frames, cages, roses and butterflies

Na koniec uzupełniłem kompozycję tekturką z napisem "W dniu urodzin".

Finally, I completed the composition with a cardboard with the words "On my birthday".

Album and birthday card by Monika

Hej, witajcie wakacyjnie! Chciałabym Wam pokazać komplet, który wykonałam dla bliskiej osoby z okazji urodzin. Nie wiem jak Wy, ale ja bardzo lubię wręczać takie własnoręcznie wykonane prezenty.

Hey, hello! I would like to show you a set that I made for a loved one for her birthday. I don't know about you, but I really like to give such hand-made gifts.

Jako pierwsza powstała kartka i to właśnie ona podsunęła mi pomysł na kolorystykę zestawu. Do wykonania tła i paska łączącego papiery na albumie wykorzystałam akwarele. Tym razem sięgnęłam po zestaw mini "Down Under", w którego składzie znajdziecie przepiękne kolory ziemi - żółcie, brązy, czy szarości. Przyznam szczerze, że ta paleta totalnie skradła moje serce!

The first I created a card and it gave me an idea of the color of the set. I used watercolors to make the background and the strip connecting the papers on the album. This time I used the "Down Under" mini set, which includes beautiful earth colors - yellow, brown or grays. I honestly admit that this palette totally stole my heart!

Birthday Cards with Sandi Clarkson

Hello, scrappy friends!

It is Sandi here with you today sharing a couple of birthday cards using several different collections.
We have half a dozen or so birthdays in the family in May and June, so I always need lots of cards!
In fact, I should make more than I do. They are always well received and I like them better than what you can purchase at the store.

So, here is the finished products using the Under the Stars collection and ephemera from several collections. They are similar in that they are almost a reverse of one another.

This one might be my favorite due to the beautiful dark teal Stardust paper, Under the Stars layered on the Shine paper, Under the Stars. I did some fussy cutting from the Shine paper to add some interest to my cards. I placed this across a diagonal strip of paper. The Paint Your Life banner is from the Speaking of Which Cardstock 12x12.

To add some dimension I added sisal and a few flowers from my stash from the now defunct Petaloo by Floracraft. I also added some gold stars from the Gold Adhesive Stars - 56 pieces.

This was actually the first card I created and I had loads of fun doing some mixed media work. I covered my paper with clear gesso and then pushed modeling paste through the Footsteps Stencil. After adding all my embellishments I added color with Tiger Eye Color Glow. Then I splattered everything with White Splash! ink.

My husband likes this one best, so ha! It might be saved for his birthday.
The Color Glow is so very pretty in person.
I added a few pearls and old metal findings to complete the look.

Here is a list of products used:
