Hi again,

Here are pictures of my last layout, ’My Love’

The roses on the bottom I fussy cut from a patterned paper and glued on the background. Also the butterflies were fussy cut, using a piece of the same paper that was used for the layout top. Before gluing the butterflies down I bent the wings to make the project 3-dimensional. For adding a bit of texture I glued down pink and grey seed beads.

Hello!
It's time for the next beautiful projects from our talented Brand Ambasador and Special Friend - Elina Strömberg. Today she shares two amazing layouts with us!

Together:

I started the project with decorating the layout background: I glued down a piece of feather patterned paper on the right side, and sew random stitches with red embroidery yarn between the light and dark panels. The red texture paste is made mixing red paint with Magic! Powder (http://13arts.pl/pl/p/MAGIC-Powder/1103), and I applied it on the layout through the Aria Song text pattern stencil (http://13arts.pl/pl/p/Maska-Stencil-ARIA-SONG/2050). The Chipboard title (http://13arts.pl/pl/p/Tekturka-Chipboard-ARIA-STORY/2048) is painted with two colours before gluing down.

Under the photo there’s a little black&white flower element that was fussy cut from a card in the Aria Story car set (http://13arts.pl/pl/p/Zestaw-kartek-A6-Aria-Story/2043)

All papers and paints are from 13Arts series.

Hello:

The inspiration for the layout was the round chair shape on the photo, and I decided to replicate the it using marker painted clock chipboards (http://13arts.pl/pl/p/Tekturka-Chipboard-HIS-HERS/2069) on the background. The same orange colour continues on the chipboard frame, and as a lighter yellow version on the sewing yarn bundles. Patterns on the light grey background were made with grey inks and a stencil (http://13arts.pl/pl/p/Maska-Stencil-HIS-TIME/2074)

A week with Brand Ambasador - Elina Stromberg (part 1)

Witajcie!

Hello!
Today we would like to introduce you to our Brand Ambasador - Elina Stromberg. Elena is a very talented Designer from Finland. We are very happy to show you her amazing artworks.
As her first project for 13arts, Elina made a beautiful layout with His&Hers papers.

My name is Elina, and I’m a card maker, scrapbooker, mixed media enthusiast and photographer from Vantaa, Southern Finland. Married to a wonderful and supportive husband since 2003, and we have two great kids aged 8 and 10. They are the sunshine of my life!

I have made different kinds of crafts all my life. Sewing, knitting, crocheting, and stitching I learned already as a kid, and beautiful fabrics and yarns continue to inspire me. Paper has always been my favorite material for various crafting projects, and my love for stamping, drawing and painting goes back a long way. Discovering new ways of using my paper crafting supplies is always exciting, and I love to share my ideas with other paper crafters. I started blogging in 2009, and hearing that my projects have inspired fellow crafters is the best reward I can get for my work.

I love the fact that this hobby is all about learning something new every day. When crafting, I pay a lot of attention to choosing the right colors and placing the elements in a way that pleases the eye. Sometimes when I have just a short free moment I often sit down to color a stamped image or to prepare the background for my next project; I’m happy to have my own crafting room so I can just step away from my unfinished project and continue working the next evening.

Crafting is my way to unwind and to keep away work stress. The busier my work days are at the office, the more time I try to allocate time to my crafting projects. Being able to take even a short moment to myself, get my hands messy with inks, paints and gesso, and to create something beautiful is very important to me.

In addition, there are pictures of my first layout, about Malta Aviation Museum our family visited last summer.

I picked up the orange colour from the airplane photo and continued it with watercolours on the layout background. Under the watercolours there are layers of patterned papers covered with clear gesso.
