Idą Święta. Coraz więcej na głowie. Niedługo ogarnie nas świąteczna gorączka: zakupy, sprzątanie, gotowanie… Prędzej choinka nam wyrośnie na głowie.
The Christmas is coming. More and more things are in our heads. The Chrismas haul will be soon: cooking, cleaning, shopping… The Christmas Tree will grow on our heads…
Ale czy w Świętach nie chodzi o coś zupełnie innego? Nie o szał, pośpiech i życiu na pokaz tutaj chodzi, a o chwilę refleksji. Myślę, że warto ten świąteczny czas poświęcić naszym bliskim, odpocząć, wyciszyć się i zrozumieć, co jest dla nas w życiu ważne.
But isn’t Christmas about something more? Something different? Not the haul, life for show it all about but about a moment of reflection. I think we should use this Christmas time to spend it with our beloved family, take care of ourselves and relax. These are really importnant things in life.
I tak właśnie powstał pomysł na art journal z kolekcji ‘Dreamland’. Wykorzystałam elementy do wycinania z dużego bloczka 12’ i umieściłam je na portrecie dziewczyny z bloczka Bella. W tle można zobaczyć zimowy szablon ze śnieżynkami.
This is how I got inspired to prepare this art journal pages using ‘Dreamland’ Collection. I used cut elements from big 12’ paper pad and I put them on a portrait of a girl from ‘Bella’ Collection. You’ll also find a stencil with snowflakes in the background.
Kolory w tle to oczywiście akwarele i matowe mgiełki. Inpirujący cytat: „Święta dają nam okazję, aby zatrzymać się i zastanowić nad najważniejszymi rzeczami dla nas” wydrukowałam na arkuszu papieru z kolekcji ‘Dreamland’ i umieściłam na dystansie.
I used the matt mists and watercolor set for colouring the background. Inspiring quote: ‘Christmas gives us an opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us” I printed on a sheet of paper from ‘Dreamland’ collection.
Na koniec dodałam chlapnięcia przy wykorzystaniu i białego tuszu akrylowego, białe cekiny w kształcie śnieżynek oraz narysowałam ramki przy użyciu czarnego i białego żelopisu.
Finally, I added splashes using white acrylic ink, some snowflake-shaped white sequins and I draw some frames using white and black gel pens.
