Who am I?
Scrapbook-artist. Mum. Wife. Terhi Koskinen. Friend. Sister. Daughter. Horsebackrider. Without order of importance. But mostly I'm an addicted paper crafter with lots of inspiration.
Scrapbooking is more than a hobby for me, it's a lifestyle - it's starts with photograph session and ends when I get my creation where I wanted. And then it starts again.
My creations are filled layers, straight lines, and techniques I want to try out. Mostly I do layouts (12" x 12"), but sometimes art journal pages, canvases, cards and other.
Witaj na pokładzie Terhi!
Welcome on board Terhi:)

Hi everyone!!! I'm here today to share with you a canvas I made using some stunning 13 Arts mediums, Paints, Mists and Inks. It was inspired by a card I made a few months back that my Mom really liked, so I decided to create something similar on a canvas as a gift for her.
'Remember'
Using a palette knife I have spread modelling paste all over the canvas, including the sides, using the knife to create bumps and ridges all over. I really love how it cracked in some of the thicker areas when dry. I have then proceeded to use various paints, mists, and black ink to add color lengthways down the canvas, highlighting all the cracks and bumps.
Some close-ups:
I have mixed some small glass beads, and slightly larger plastic beads with some gesso, then using a paint brush added them to my canvas to create a kind of frame, which I have placed most of my embellishments in or around.
When that had dried I added a couple of chipboard frames, some flowers and metal pieces, then I sprayed everything with Ayeeda Mists in Pastel Black and Pearl Gold.
Here you can see some of the beautiful cracks in the modelling paste into which the Ayeeda Ink in Black has seeped.
My flowers have all been randomly painted with Ayeeda Gesso, Pearl Gold paint, and Gold Glitter Paint.
To finish I added some black and white splatters of mist and a few little resin roses.
I hope you like what I have created and that you found something here to inspire you!!! Thank you for stopping by!!
How was the weekend for you? Mine was really, really busy!
Today I'm up on the 13arts blog with a short tutorial post on the different ways you can use modeling paste.
Here's the project:
In this project, I have kept my embellishments to the minimum to show the two ways Ayeeda modeling paste can be used.
The first way is very commonly used - to emboss. When applied without any spreading or flattening, the more modeling paste you have the more raised the surface. You can manipulate your palette knife to create more "peaks" for a rougher texture. Another way to emboss with modeling paste is to use it over a stencil (both methods of embossing can be seen in this photo) to get a raised pattern.
What goes up must come down. The second way to use acrylic modeling paste is to de-boss. Instead of creating peaks (or raised surfaces), you are making depressions. As seen in the photo, I have spread some Ayeeda modeling paste over my canvas, and stamped some script into the modeling paste. The stamped design presses into the paste and creates depressed script, which I further enhanced by misting with a darker and contrasting color (Pastel Lavender vs Pastel Caramel and Pastel Yellow).
Here's another example of de-bossing with modeling paste.
Hello! Today I want to share with you my new project for 13arts! I created a card with box.
I will show you also how to prepare paper flowers and leaves using 13arts mists!
Witam!
Dzisiaj chciałabym podzielić się z Wami kolejnym projektem dla 13arts! Zrobiłam kartkę z pudełkiem. Pokażę Wam również jak przygotować papierowe kwiaty i liście z użyciem mgiełek 13arts!
Hello, it's Olga and today I have for you short video and whole post about G E S S O.
Hejka, tu Olga dziś mam dla Was filmik i cały post tylko o G E S S O.
So at start, what is Gesso ?
Its acrylic multi-surface primer. Perfect for any kind of mixed media works. Most of you know for sure that wood surfaces, paper surfaces often needs some protection from soaking products into them. And that's why we use gesso. It's white, matt, opaque THICK product. After drying its permanent.
Zacznijmy od tego czym jest gesso ?
Gessso to podkład akrylowy. Idealny do wszelkiego rodzaju technik mixed mediowych. Zapewne większość z was wie, że powierzchnie takie jak drewno i papier trzeba czasem zabezpieczyć, żeby zapobiec wsiąkaniu w nie nadmiaru koloru.
I wtedy sięgamy po gesso. Nasze gesso to gęsty, kryjący, biały, matowy produkt. Po wyschnięciu permanentny.
Other ways of use.
Inne sposoby użycia :
To light up - your colors or your papers. With paints and sprays to achieve best results - tap with sponge or brush. With papers - add thin layer directly to paper you can use water to dilute it.
Blur tool - you can use it to blur any water based
colors on your work. With sponge and taping you will get amazing ombre
efect. You can also combine product with your favorite sprays and have
colorfull product :)
Gesso
jest tez idealne do łączenia kolorów tapujac gąbeczka z gesso i
odrobiną wprawy bardzo łatwo uzyskacie przepiękne ombre. Możecie też
użyć swoich ulubionów sprejów i przygotować kolorowe wersje produktu do
dalszych eksperymentów .:)
To make textures use some tools and go creative. You can also apply
through the mask or stencil. But efect will be not the same as texture
paste (more about texture paste you can find HERE on our blog from
Aida). Images from stencil will be not so crisp as from paste. It could
be advantage with distressed projects.
