Planner with laminated cover by Agnieszka Mirkowska

Hello everyone!

I hope, that the New Year will be only better than the last one. Every year we try to be more efficient, more organized and we usually make a decistion to plan our life as good as it is possible. That's why, we buy pocket calendars or planners. This time, I'd like to show you a planner which may also be an album or an insta-journal.

I used 12'x12' Summer Rhapsody Collection. I cut out the rectangular piece of paper with dimensions 9,5'x8 and laminated that. I insert the inner pages of a planner using silver elastic bands.

Wykorzystałam dużą kolekcję papierów Summer Rhapsody. Wycięłam prostokąt o wymiarach 9,5'x8' i zalaminowałam go. Wewnętrzne strony planera przymocowałam przy pomocy srebrnych gumek o średnicy 1mm.

I glued some beautiful photos of my friend inside the planner. I used transparent foil Bees and scrapbooking paper from Summer Rhapsody collection to prepare inner pages of the planner.

Przykleiłam w środku piękne zdjęcia mojej koleżanki. Wykorzystałam folię transparentą Bees oraz papier do scrapbookingu z kolekcji Summer Rhapsody, aby wykonać poszczególne strony planera.

I made also a bookmark using transparent foil and I made my own paperclips using bees cut out from the transparent foil sheet. I also used badges to decorate the planner.

Ponadto wykonałam zakładkę do książki z folii transparentnej. Z tej samej folii wycięłam też robaczki i zrobiłam z nich ozdobne spinacze. Dodałam też gotowe badziki, aby dodatkowo udekorować poszczególne strony.

Some of pages are made of old notes. I used tea and coffee to make them look older than they truly are.

Niektóre strony wykonałam ze starych nut. Dodatkowo postarzyłam je przy pomocy kawy i herbaty, aby wyglądały na starsze i potargane przez czas.

I added some tags. They can be a decorative element or a place to write something on it.

Dodałam również tagi. Mogą one stanowić element dekoracyjny, albo dodatkowe miejsce na zapiski.

I made a film presenting the whole planner - please visit my YT to check it out.

Zrobiłam film, na którym pokazałam cały planer - jeżeli jesteście zainteresowanie odwiedźcie mój kanał na YT.

 Happy New Year!

Szczęśliwego Nowego Roku!

Altered wooden painter`s palette by Heike`s AugenBlick

 Hello everyone,

and welcome to my design team work.

I am Heike from Heike`s AugenBlick and I am your host for today.

I hope you had a beautiful Christmas time with lots of lovely memories.

Our Christmas time was quiet, Jörgen my handsome hubby had  to work in the hospital.

So we only had the Christmas Eve lunch with three of our four kids.

I enjoyed the time we had together. It is so sad that the time for Christmas music is also over.

I love Christmas music and one of my favorite songs is:

"Walking in the air"

"Walking in the air" is  a song from Howard Blake created for the 1982 animated UK Christmas special "The Snowman" based on the book by Raymond Briggs. The song was sung by choirboy Peter Auty.

The song has become a kind of Christmas standard in the United Kingdom,

as the animated special has become prominent in British culture airing annually similar to

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" in the US.

Here is a short lyric from the song.

Walking in the air

We `re walking in the air.

We`re flooting in the moonlit sky.

The pepole far below

Are sleeping as we fly

I`m holding very tight

I`m finding I can fly

So high above with you....

Here is a link to the song:

(1) Peter Auty - Walking In The Air - YouTube

But any way:

I created for you an altered mixed media project, more precisely

a wooden painter`s palette.

A closer look:

My focal point photo is with clear embossing powder covered. I also used the little palette opening as frame for another photo which I covered with clear embossing powder also.

A short description about my background steps:

I started on my wooden painter`s palette with a layer of black gesso. After my black gesso was dry

I cut a paper-sheet from the sunrise paper collection and I glued this

to my wooden palette with gel medium.

I protected my paper with a layer of clear gesso.

After that I cut a piece  of the travel the world transparency folie and I glued this with gel medium on my wooden palette.

After that I have added lots of texture with multipurpose medium, crackle glaze,

modeling paste and a stencil, powertex balls and 3D powders. I let the hole thing dry overnight.

My photo image shows the wet texture on my wooden palette.

My color choice for this project was quite dark and vintage looking.

That means Color Glow powders in dark blue and brown with gold and bras should

be the main colors on my wooden painter`s paltette.

End of Summer layout with Sandi Clarkson

Hello, 13 Arts friends and fans!

Sandi Clarkson here with you today sharing my most recent project for 13 Arts featuring the 13 Arts End of Summer collection. Although I am still actually knee-deep in Christmas preparations at the moment, I  had an idea in mind for scrapping this sweet photo of my young granddaughter Marianne playing in the leaves. So, I'm mixing in some Fall along with the Christmas season.

Let's look at today's project, shall we?

As usual I prepared my paper with clear gesso before moving on to stenciling with the new Stencil Vintage letter, END OF SUMMER and 13 Arts modeling paste.

Then it was a matter of adding papers from the End of Summer A6 paper pad for my focal point and to serve as photo matting. I added lots of corrugated cardboard between my layers for dimensional and to enable me to tuck in my embellishments.

I adore the gorgeous rust and cream sunflowers in this End of Summer Ephemera Pack. So, I added with abandon as I wanted a very full look. Also, we now have the wonderful Art Book, vol 1 for fussy cutting even more images.

I also used some of the chipboard from the collection for further embellishing.

When my composition was nearly finished, I added both Brown Water Ink as well as Yellow Amber Water Ink (links below) to make the focal area more dominant.  As an additional layer, you can see that I also used some ecru Sisal from 13 Arts.

I finished the layout with some splattering of watered down 13 Arts White Gesso.

The butterflies from the End of Summer Ephemera pack are bright and beautiful. I just had to use a few for whimsy and to brighten things up.  Also, the new Badges are so fun to tuck in amongst your layers.

I hope that this will inspire you to create and make use of your 13 Arts products.

6 tags and 3 nights until Christmas

3 nights until Christmas? Lot's of time to create tags for all presents!

I made mine using different collections from 2020 and even 2019 but Dreamland looks like perfect one for all projects this year.

You can be cerative and use more traditional color combos like grren and red but yellow or pink will lift the spirits and we all need it this year...

I hope you know already all new stencils from last 4 collections?

Classic gold? Several perfect products from mists to paint and powders.

Green and white? Never out of style.

Thank you for looking!

I wish you all Merry Christmas and if you don't celebrate it I wish you to have a good time with your family, stay safe and heathy!

See you next year ,here and on other social media platforms.

Christmas ATC

Hello,
The Holidays are on our doorstep and everyone is busy getting ready. There is a hustle-bustle in the kitchen, the noise of children fills the air, however I'm in my room working in peace and quiet while listening to some nice music - this way I can chill and enjoy what I'm doing.
These wonderful petite ATC cards may be gift tags as well. These are tiny marvels which required so much attention to detail and properly done layering.
You might want to make one for your own pleasure while getting into the cheerful Christmas mood.

I'm wishing you All a Very Merry Christmas!
Szandra
