Our new Guest Designer - Farrel Tailor from Australia

Today we have the opportunity to introduce you to another talented Guest Designer. Farrel is from Australia and here's what she told us about herself:

Hi there everyone

My name is Farrel Tailor and I am from Perth in Western Australia. I have been scrapbooking for about 16 years but only started my love of mixed media about 4 years ago. I like to create different types of projects including art journaling, scrapbooking, altered art and only recently cards. I am super excited to be joining 13@rts guest design team for the next 3 months.

Here is my project, I used Summer Rhapsody and Rosalie collections for my layout. I love this photo of my grandmother and I on my wedding day 12 years ago. These collections were perfect for the photo.

For my base patterned paper I used Summer Rhapsody - Memories. For the photo cluster I fussy cut out some flowers and butterflies from Summer Rhapsody Elements and also used a frame from Music is Everywhere pp

I used Poppies and Banners 6x6 stencil along with white modeling paste and used Ayeeda Mist - Pastel Pink on my chipboard butterfly. For the chipboard pieces, I used Unforgettable 12x12 chipboard sheet.

End of Summer - Ideas

Kolekcja End of Summer inspirowana jest właśnie tym okresem - końcem lata. Jeszcze jest ciepło, ale wieczory są już chłodne. Nieco zgaszone kolory, rdzawe akcenty i słoneczniki zapowiadają już jesień. W kolekcji znajdziecie też nieco klimatów vintage. Ciekawe przejścia kolorystyczne i głębia to coś co w tej kolekcji uwielbiam. Mam nadzieję, że i Was zachwyci i będzie jedną z Waszych ulubionych.

End of Summer Collection is inspired by this time of the year, when the summer ends and Autumn is coming. It is warm during the day, but evenings are cold. A bit faded colors, rusty accents and sunflowers say Autumn is coming. Interesting transitions of colors, the depth - that is what I personally love about this collection. I hope that you will love it as well and it will be one of your favorite.

Layout with Dreamland collection by Moira Gilowey

Hi everyone.

I am so excited to be sharing my very first 13 Arts Design Team project with you today using the beautiful new Dreamland collection. It was so hard to choose a page from the collection because they are all so gorgeous, but, don't worry, I will get to them all! I felt that this page suited my photograph of my great niece perfectly.

I turned the page around so that the flowers were at the top. To prepare the background of my layout, I added Pastel Black mist to white gesso and applied it to the paper using a spatula and then added Pastel Cinnamon mist to modeling paste for stenciling.

Stamping was added around the edges of the layout and Old Gold glitter ink and silver Mika Flakes to the flowers for sparkle. Some splashes of white ink added the finishing touches.
