I am thrilled to share my third and
final project as Guest Designer for 13 Arts. I created this single
page layout using papers from the Unforgettable collection and the
photo is one that I found on the internet of a couple doing the tango
– a dramatic dance against the reds of the beautiful poppies.
I combined two sheets of paper from the collection and covered them with clear gesso. The background of the layout was prepared by mixing Tiger Eye Color Glow with gel medium and then stenciling onto the papers, using the spatula to also pull some of the color down the paper. Once it was dry, I added some black gesso around and over the stenciling and around the edges of the layout. Coral Red Color Glow was diluted and painted around the composition. I added some Bronze Shiny Powder to transparent wax and rubbed this around the edges of the page, around my photograph as well as around my composition. I also added stamping onto the layout.
The chipboard doily was heat embossed with white embossing powder and the resin pieces were painted with black gesso and then lightly brushed with white gesso.
