Hi 13 Arts Fans!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!! We sure did, however I must confess to being tired after such a busy weekend!!
Today
I would like to share with you a layout using some of my favorite new
13 Arts Products, including a little tutorial to show you how to go....
From This:
To This:
The
photo I have used in this layout is of my Niece Kayla, and because it
is such a fun, carefree photo, I wanted to create, and add elements that
expressed that, whilst being very feminine at the same time.
Some close-ups:
Here is the tutorial:
Step
1: Begin by adding some Orange Twigs to one side of the photo, and
cutting up some fruit Sprigs to add around the layout among your flowers
clusters. Use Gel Medium to attach them firmly in place.
Using
a brush 'paint' some Gel Medium around your layout beneath flower
clusters then use your fingers to sprinkle 2 different sizes of microspheres into the wet Gel.
Step
2: When the gel Medium is dry spray beneath your microspheres with 2
colors of mist. I have used Pastel Salmon and Pastel Raspberry. Spray it
in a way so that random parts of your flowers also get touches of
color. It helps tie everything together.
Add some of the new Decorative Pink Crystals around the page, again using Gel Medium to Hold them firmly in place.
Step 3: Paint a chipboard Butterfly from the Fly Away Collection using 13 Arts paints in coordinating colors. Use a fine brush for more detail, then reattach to your page.
Step
4: Brush the tips of all your flowers with Ayeeda paint in Gold
Glitter. Also brush some of your heart, butterfly and twigs.
You can see the Gold Glitter a little better here.
Step
5: Paint your Dusty Attic frame in Gesso using your finger for a bumpy
texture then also brush in Gold glitter paint. For the rest of the title, take the word Memories from the Fly Away Chipboard Words Set and paint and in black ink for a fast and even coverage.
Also reattach to the page, layering them, and adding a flower on top.
Randomly 'paint'
parts of your flowers with gel Medium and sprinkle Colored grit in Faded
Pink into the Wet Gel. Allow it to dry, then tip the page up to remove
any loose Grit.
Step
6. Finally go around the edges of your composition and beneath random
areas of paper and flowers add some Colored Mica Flakes in Light Gold.
It can be time consuming adding the extra effects, but as I am sure you will agree, the result is well worth it!!
I hope I have inspired you to play around with out new products, all of which are already available in the store!!!
Have a great week!!!
